Margaret just got a new Toyota Highlander Hybrid and she’s loving it so far! The folks atBeaman Automotive got her all set up. She is loving the higher MPG the hybrid provides and the Andy did a great job tinting the front two windows:
Since auto film is regulated differently state-by-state when it comes to the front two windows of SUVs, vehicles like the Highlander often come with the cargo & passenger window factory tinted to around 20% visible light transmission, but leave the front two untinted. In Tennessee, the law for the front two windows is 35% visible light transmission, so while we can get a really close match to the the color tone of the factory on the rest of the windows, it’s always a little lighter to stay within the law. We also recommend picking a color-stable dye or ceramic film to better better match the matte look of factory (as opposed to a metal or part-metal film).
But as you can see, the difference in light transmission is almost unnoticeable. It looks sleek and feels more comfortable driving!
