Solar installed a 25% visible light transmission dual-reflective film on all their West facing windows for heat and glare.
Dual-reflective means the layer on the interior side of the film is non-reflective while the layer facing the outside has higher reflectivity. This film type allows for a better ability to see out the window at night than a fully reflective all-metal film while achieving a much more impressive heat rejection than a basic dyed film. It a very popular film type for both commercial and residential applications when one of the main goals is glare reduction.
So we know the windows look amazing, but what about the food? The Home Builders Association of Middle TN recently had their spring mixer at the restaurant and the consensus was it is delicious!! The Solar crew indulged in BBQ nachos, crab dip, and calamari.
